  1. Awo-omamma is served by the famous Owerri/Onitsha expressway,Awoomamma/Okwudor road. The neglected but all-important ” trans oru east road”,Okporo/Atta/Amiri/Awoomama/Mgbele/Izombe road, all pass through this vast oru east economically viable town that boasts of very many cottage palm oil processing industries”,oil mill”.
Sitting on both sides of the 26km Njaba river,Awoomamma possesses the potential to host as well as sustain an all year round form of crops production,(continuous farming),that is aside the heavy presence of Fiona and Flora. The presence of the Njaba river which empties its water into Oguta lake, the second largest natural lake in nigeria could make fish farming a lucrative venture, while on the water cruising between the coastal villages of the town, especially Ubachima,Okworji,Ubahaeze,Isieke,Umuezukwe(ferry point) and Umuezike a mouth watering expedition for holiday makers.
In terms of education, every of the villages of Awoomamma hosts at least a public primary school, but some boasts of 2 to 3 more, this is in addition to the numerous privately owned ones, among which is Santana Primary School, one of the pioneer private primary schools in West Africa.
The Comprehensive Secondary School, one of the first set of such type of post primary institutions in nigeria is perfectly domiciled in this great land. Other notable post primary institutions existing here are Logos international,St. Linus,Devine,St. Mary,St.Patrick,Uchenna,Brains,C.K.C.,just to mention but a few.
It must be of note that the only beer brewing industry which is the largest full scale industry in Imo state has remained Awoomamma’s guest since the early 80s,so is the Holy Ghost Noviate of the Roman Catholic Church.
There are several small and medium scale industries in Awoomamma: Oma Pharms,Nichben Group among others.
Occupying over 89km² of Oru East’s 137km² of land and with a population of over 100 persons,Awoomamma is ripe for any volume of investment. Therefore, her doors are open to welcome you to either her land or any other point you deem fit for your establishment in Oru land.
